Coaching at Old College
Coaching groups are arranged according to ability, the following gives a guide: Mini tennis 5 - 10 year olds, Developmental & Squads 8 - 18 year olds. Coaching can accommodate all ages and all standards.
Juniors Term-time Coaching
Group coaching is run after school during term time from 4.15pm - 6.30pm
on week-days. In addition, Friday Match play from 4:15 to 6pm is a coach
supervised session allowing juniors to play competitive matches, in singles
and doubles.
Mini Tennis Coaching
Mini tennis consists of supervised sessions for red, orange and green
levels. These are held daily after school term time only from 4.15 - 5.15pm,
Wednesday tiny tots from 3.45 - 4.25 pm and Saturday mornings from 9.00am.

Holiday Coaching Camps
Junior Tennis Camps are run at school holiday times. Details are sent
out by Jon Modica on email prior to each holiday. Easter '07 dates are:
26th - 29th March, 2nd - 5th, and 10th - 13th April. Summer dates are:
July 9th - 12th, 23rd - 26th, 30th - 2nd and 6th - 9th August.
Junior leaders coaching course
Opportunity for those aged 14 to 17 to take Junior Leaders coaching course,
and then help with the mini-tennis programme.
Squads
We run Club teams in numerous age categories, from Mini tennis up to U18.
Players are usually chosen through LTA rating, tournament performances
or current form in coaching sessions. The teams will be offered a couple
of coached team sessions sponsored by the Club.
Private Coaching
Private coaching is available all year round, from £25 for an individual
session. We have 2 full time coaches & various part-time coaches. All
have been CRB checked.
The Ropey Ladder
All Junior members are eligible to play in the Old College singles ladder
- see (www.ropeyladder.com)

Booking Courts
Juniors can book hourly sessions on Court 7 Saturday p.m. and Courts 6
or 7 on Sundays. To book fill in your name on the notice-board in the
clubhouse. At other times no booking is necessary, turn up and play -
subject to the court/s being available. If you turn up on Sat p.m. or
Sunday, you might consider filling in the booking form before you start
so you have the court for at least an hour. There is no charge for booking
or playing on these courts.
Clubhouse
Modern clubhouse - WC, showers, and kitchen A pay phone is available for
players to use. Tel: 020 8693 3511. Note, this phone is left unattended
and messages are not collected. A bar selling soft drinks and small snacks
is open on some occasions.
Visitors
You are welcome to bring non-members to play for a visitor's fee of £1
per junior, no more than five visits per year per guest. Please enter
your name and the visitor's name in the book which is kept by the pay-phone.
EITHER pay a committee member - (please ensure that they sign the book
to confirm that you have done so). OR, pay when you renew your sub.

Event Details
Mini Tennis Tournament
Open to children born in 1997 or 1998. No requirement for club membership.
Junior American Doubles tournament
From 11+ or younger if able to score and play matches. Early booking
recommended and appreciated as tournament format requires fixed number
of attendees. Last minute cancellations and/or last minute requests
to play are challenging for the organizers.
Generation Tournament American doubles & Pizza
Intermediate adults and juniors (11+ or younger if able to score and
play matches) are paired up. Early booking recommended and appreciated
as tournament format requires fixed number of attendees. Last minute
cancellations and/or last minute requests to play are challenging for
the organizers.
Adult & Junior Finals Day
Come & watch the club finals for the adults and juniors. Fun for all.
The Main & Junior committee will be organizing games, BBQ, "TEA" and
fastest serve.
Old College Junior Closed Summer Tournament
Open to junior members ONLY. Forms sent out with Tags and are also available
in the Clubhouse. U10s, U12s, U15s, U16s, U18s. Deadline for entry is
21st April 2007. Finals day 1/7/07 or 1/9/07 if wet. See clubhouse notice-board
for draw. Organiser: Lucy Tyndall. Note: Junior members who have been
played up to intermediate or advanced standard (see J. Modica) can enter
the Club Senior Open Tournament. Organiser: Jenny Ritchie.
Hamptons International Old College Junior Open
Forms available in the Clubhouse. LTA rating will be required, events
held: Boys/Girls U18s, U16s, U12s, and U14s doubles. Deadline for entry
is 7th July 2007.

L.T.A. Summer Postal Competition
For details and to enter The Surrey County Lawn Tennis summer boys /
girls singles, U10, U12, U14, U16's. See tournament notice board in
clubhouse and fill in the application form, Entry £3. Deadline for entry
is 18th March, 2007.
Family Mallorca tennis holiday
The October half term tennis holiday is organised by Jon Modica. Details
will be available nearer the time. Resort is rated no.5 in the ACE magazine
top 10 destinations, from around £650pp all inclusive.
**CAR PARKING:
Please park in the designated bays outside the Club within the dotted
lines, or on the Club side of the road. Otherwise, please note that
YOU MUST NOT AT ANY TIME PARK WITH YOUR CAR WHEELS ON THE ROUNDED KERB
- this is an offence day or night and Wardens pass the Club regularly
