ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Tuesday 26th March 2019, 7.45 pm in the Clubhouse

Members are warmly invited to attend the 2018 AGM of OCLT&CC. The Agenda for the meeting is:

  • Approval of minutes of the AGM 6th March 2018
  • Election of Club Committee members and endorsement of appointments of Executive Secretary and Treasurer
  • Appointment of Independent Examiner for 2019
  • Chair’s report and review of Club activities
  • Treasurer’s report: consideration of 2018 accounts
  • Consideration and decision on submitted Resolutions (see below)
  • Appointment of Honorary President for 2019

 

Committee nominations

Any voting member may stand for an elected position on the Club Committee and Tennis Committee. The positions to be elected are:

The deadline for nominations is 16th March 2019. Details of how to submit a nomination can be found on the Nomination Form, in the Club Rules on our website (in ‘About’; see Rule 6.8.1), or can be obtained from the Executive Secretary (andrewshep68@gmail.com). You may still stand for a position if you are unable to attend the AGM.

Nominations received will be posted on the notice board in the Clubhouse and on the Club’s website. Note that positions that are not contested will not require a vote.

 

Resolutions

The resolutions to be considered are:

  • Reinstatement of membership category ‘Social Membership’ and inclusion in Club Rule 5.7.1
  • Amendment to Club Rule 5.4.1: Deletion of wording ‘Persons of either sex are eligible for membership of the Club’
  • Amendment of Club Rule 6.8.1 to allow nominations to the Club Committee by electronic notification to Executive Secretary, and to remove requirement for notification to Members’ Representative
